One way to work on your staging and composition techniques in drawing is to take small objects and work on different compositions and shots. I had a fun assignment, taking just a tea pot and tea cup and placing them in different shots, working on different compositions and lighting. It definitely became a referral in helping me with my future storyboarding when trying to make sure I had enough varying shots.
